About This Project

Built by a pilot,
for pilots

These tools were created by an independent UK operational pilot with experience in emergency services aviation. The idea behind them isn’t to recreate yet another weather app.

These tools aim to show, at a glance, the character and conditions of the night flying environment. They do this by blending light level calculations with current cloud-cover modelling and moisture content consideration — and by factoring in your operational cloud base and visibility minima.

This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced in connection with NPAS, HEMS, HM Coastguard, the MOD, or any other organisation.
